10 Strengths Animated

This project focused on using the video timeline in photoshop. We used our 10 strengths and animated them to learn about the video timeline and animating text. What we did was first put all the text where we wanted them to be at the end, then, we animated them to make them turn and spin. My ten strengths are on the widget to the right in case you wanted to see a list form. For the background, we used non-copyrighted scenery and I chose my background because I felt it was very peaceful seeing the hot air balloon by itself in the night sky. A difficulty I came across while animating was that the words kept randomly vibrating. I tried messing with the key frames but to no avail. Eventually I figured out it was just the preview doing that and when I rendered the video was all fixed

Here is the video, I hope you enjoy

Ball bounce animation with ARCS

This is my ball bounce animation with arcs! What we had to do was make it fade in and fade out and have the ball do something at the end. I made the ball jump up and down angrily for being thrown and bounced on the floor. As you might be able to tell, we had two faces for the ball, one for being squashed and one for just normal bounce. The setting of my animation takes place inside a house, hence the wall border near the floor. It also seems to be fall outside due to the leaves on the ground.

What I did first was draw the arcs in and designed a background and floor. The arcs are important so you can see where the ball goes to get to its destination. Then, I drew the ball and the face and moved them to match up with the arcs. Adding the squash and stretch was slightly difficult to do with an arc but I managed it well enough. After animating everything I added the fade in and fade out and lastly, added my name.

Ball bounce animation

The past few days in E-Comm we focused on animating a ball bouncing up and down. We used the  squash and stretch method to make the ball seem less flat and have more movements. Being completely new to photoshop, I learned a lot from this, for example, I learned that layers are very important and you can make navigating easier by knowing the shortcut keys. To make the ball itself we used the circle tool and a gradient. I would try to follow the directions exactly how they were told if I had the chance to do this again.
